Christina Dabney-Keel was born and raised on the
reservation. This mother of one, is a third generation of council
woman. After the passing of her mother, Christina knew that her
mother would have wanted her to help the community. In knowing
this, Christina decided to run. In 2004, Christina was elected to
Tribal Council, in January of 2005, she was elected Tribal Secretary by
nomination.
Christina finds the day-to-day operations of being the
Tribal Secretary challenging. The mix of community,
government-to-government and social issues are very difficult to find
balance. With this said, Christina has managed to find balance in
herself, which in turn enables her to balance the day-to-day operations
and maintaining the Tribal community infrastructure.
Prior to joining the Council, Christina was a board
member of the Tule River Housing Authority for 6 years.
A Family oriented person, Christina loves to spend
time with her son and extended family members.
When time permits, Christina loves to spend time on
her Polaris 500 Quad.
