The Tule River Reservation Fire Department currently has one Type II engine, 1 Type III engine, 2 type IV patrols and 1 Ambulance. With the growing need for additional members for the fire crew, the Tribe has begun construction on a new Fire Station.  

The Fire Department is currently working on surrounding the Reservation with Fuel Breaks to allow defendable, safe engagement of wild fires threatening cooperators or the reservation.  The Fuel Breaks and pre-suppression plans will include, but not be limited to Safety Zones, Escape Routes, Heliports/Med-Evac, Dip Sites, Snag Removal and access. 

With the dry summers, the Reservation is always in constant threat of wild fires.  Arson is also a contributing factor to the wild fires.  The Tule River Reservation Fire Department is comprised of residents from the reservation.
