Linda has worked for the Tule River Tribe for and the Tule River Education Center as the Director of Education for 12 years. Born in Porterville, Linda attended Porterville College and graduated from Fresno State. Before Joining the Tule River Tribe Education Center, Linda was a school teacher for 3 years. As the Education Director, Mrs. Murr is responsible for the curriculum of the Towantis Indian Education Center. In addition to this, she supervises 15-30 employees ranging from Teachers to office staff and creating diverse programs to educate the community of the Tule River Tribe. To provide services so that each student can achieve their fullest academic potential, are the goals that Linda Murr sets for herself and her staff. Scheduling tutor sessions, computer lab programs, and educational activities for the community keep Linda extremely busy year round. |
