Soda springs is located on the Reservation.  It gets it's name because of the naturally created soda water that bubbles up in certain locations.  These springs are located at several spots on the reservation.  The water is drinkable and has been used in many drinks consumed by the tribe.  There is an abundant supply of Watercress around soda springs.  This green vegetable was used in many dishes by the tribal members.  Soda springs would also serve the residents as a swimming hole.  Close to the side of where the spring bubbles the soda water is a pond where water gathers from the running Tule River.  For years this place has been one of the most popular swimming location for tribal residents.
