We are collecting information to determine the feasibility of offering a 12-unit, (credit) college-level certificate on Tribal Self-Governance. The certificate would be awarded through the Division of Continuing and Global Education at California State University, Fresno for the people of Tule River Reservation. This program is designed to be culturally-relevant, emphasizing transferable skills applicable to tribal governments, federal agencies that work with Native peoples, and non-profit agencies or for-profit businesses working with tribal governments. All courses will be taught by Native faculty with Ph.D. degrees and experience consulting with tribal and other governments.
